First Consultation

This is an assessment appointment and it is usually conducted by phone. I offer the opportunity to ask questions without any obligation.

How many sessions do I need?

This depends largely on the person and the issue being addressed. A typical hypnosis process consists of an initial assessment/session and 2 or 3 follow-up sessions. A great number of people achieve their goal after few sessions. Many people keep a regular appointments while others do as needed.

Session length

The initial session is scheduled for 2 hours. I almost always use hypnosis in the first session. Subsequent sessions are usually 1 hour to 90 minutes.

Professional ethics

I am a Certified Member of the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners and practice in accordance with its Code of Ethics and Standards.

Confidentiality and privacy

I maintain the confidentiality of all knowledge and information concerning my clients. I will not tell anyone that you are my client. I may disclose information only when required by law or when authorized by those responsible for the client’s care.

Scope of practice

I am not a medical doctor. I do not diagnose, prescribe, treat, cure, or heal any physical, mental, or emotional illness. The services I render are not a form of health care, psychotherapy, or counseling. The physical and mental well-being of each client is my primary consideration.

I do not perform hypnosis for unrealistic goals or inappropriate requests.

Cancellations, Punctuality And Fees

Much preparation occurs before the arrival of each client and, within a period of two working days, the session becomes non-transferable.  When you make an appointment I reserve the whole session for you. I will need at least two days notice. If you wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment otherwise you will be liable to pay the full session fee.

If you are unable to attend a session for any reason, it will usually not be possible for your hypnotherapist to make use of 'your time' by filling your session with a different client. Thus a missed session represents a lost opportunity for another client and a lot of wasted preparation for the hypnotherapist.
